Old Vestbanen

[edit]

I cant find the old railway line 'Vestbanen' mentioned in the text. On Google Earth I can only trace an old route going North from Ringsted. Anyway the last time I travelled along the existing railway line the new route joins the existing railway line quite a long way east of Ringsted and remains paralel to the existing railway line to beyond Ringsted. It goes on to the line south. I think we can remove the mention of the old railway line. As for capacity contraints: Trains can also continue to the Airport and Sweden instead of the main Kopenhagen station. The Airport line capacity can be limited to of course. Anyway the hourly non-stop Lyn service between Odense and Hoje Tastruup could easily be diverted, without changing the Kopenhagen main station capacity.Smiley.toerist (talk) 14:30, 23 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Speed limit

[edit]

When posting speed figures, we should explicitly say whether it is the speed a line was built for, or whether it is certified for that speed. If certification for 250 km/h requires a test run with 275 km/h, which the line can't handle, the 250 km/h will never be reached by actual trains. For now, I am removing claim of the 250 km/h limit since I can't find any sources saying the line is actually certified for that.
