The Erdos-Nagy thing is irrelevant
[edit]Why does this page that's supposedly about the convex hull spend so much time talking about this Erdos-Nagy result that has to do with deriving (from a given non-convex polygon) convex polygons that aren't the convex hull and have nothing to do with the convex hull?
It's a wild deviation from the supposed topic of the page, and because the text doesn't make it clear where it's talking about the convex hull and where it's instead talking about other convex polygons that have absolutely nothing to do with the convex hull, it makes the page unnecessarily confusing. It should be its own article, or just deleted; anyway it has nothing to do with the topic of this page. 31.121.171.178 (talk) 18:36, 2 December 2022 (UTC)
- It's because the process is defined using the pockets of the convex hull. So the assertion that it's unrelated is false: it cannot even be described without talking about convex hulls. —David Eppstein (talk) 17:13, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
