Can anyone give a reference? for the concept of complete variety, and for completeness of projective varieties. thanks.


I don't think that the following sentence is clear enough:

it will except in very simple cases have more closed sets.

If I understood the meaning correctly we should add to commas at it as follows:

it will, except in very simple cases, have more closed sets.

If it is true please add the commas so it would be more readble. Otherwise change it in a way that a typical math student can easily understand it.
