Article subject's independent notability

[edit]

The article recently survived an AfD proposal. The closing admin wrote that the "decision does not preclude a possible merge." In this light, I call upon the community of editors to provide sourced evidence for the noability of the so-called "community of shared future for mankind." This is a blatant political talking point and a slogan. To achieve independent notability we need something beyond a few mentions in Chinese-published articles. Similar terms in the West, such as Lyndon Johnson's "Great Society" (examine, please, its list of references), have achieves their status of independent notability thanks to the existence of quite extensive sources. Wikipedia is neither a place for political advocacy and propaganda nor a indiscriminate listing of information. -The Gnome (talk) 08:38, 23 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Rename?

[edit]

I am not much of a page mover, but it strikes me that the Community with a Shared Future for Mankind is the more common formulation in English. I have recently added another English language source that uses the "...Shared Future of Mankind" formulation, in fact.

Are there other views on what the primary article title should be? I think we should move the page. JArthur1984 (talk) 15:12, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Article needs to be rewritten

[edit]

It just irks me to see articles being written like this. Whether people like it or not, CPC/CCP is the ruling party of the People's Republic of China. You shouldn't separate them out like it's a different entity from PRC. After all, we never refer to US's announcements as Democrat's or Republican's US. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Miniracer (talkcontribs) 04:31, 26 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This is a bit general, can you point out some specific sentences or proposed edits? I have made some edits to this article recently and I'm willing to take a further look if you have specific comments. JArthur1984 (talk) 13:45, 26 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
