@Cush: states that the name in some languages is "Beo". Can someone find a reliable source for that? The situation where it would be admissible is if the name has a significant cultural reason (cited) for it? Shyamal (talk) 13:55, 11 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
In at least one of the countries where the bird is native, namely Indonesia, the Wikipedia article is "Beo". Alternative names for animals are always interesting on this international version of Wikipedia, and I trust that other Wikipedias are sufficiently sourced and that editors in those countries and Wikipedias know what the subject of their respective articles is.
The interwiki is the place for this to go at the moment unless there is a referenced statement for any other reason for inclusion in the main text. The usual thing that happens is that adding something uncited from one language leads to a slew of unreferenced entries from other languages (WP:OR original research that simply cannot be verified) Shyamal (talk) 22:34, 11 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The sources used in any of these pages are quite sufficient. This is not OR in any meaning of the policy. Can you please provide sources for the etymology of "Myna" and put a new section into the Myna article ? ♆ CUSH ♆17:53, 25 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
