The contents of the CHN analyzer page were merged into Combustion analysis on 23 April 2022. For the contribution history and old versions of the redirected page, please see its history; for the discussion at that location, see its talk page. |
Removed the "Only for Yale students" section. It seems unfair to reference something that the majority of users won't even have access to.
Merger Proposal
[edit]I am proposing the CHN Analyzer article is merged with this article. There are CHN analyzers -- but there are also CNHS and CNHSO analysers, and I don't think the difference between them is significant enough to warrant a separate page, whereas the different types would be well suited to be outlined on the combustion analysis page. pinchies (talk) 00:30, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
- Support: Looks like an obvious content fork. CHN has become something of a generic term, probably because it's easier to say, but S & P analysis is pretty standard these days, they can also determine more exotic elements like fluoride if special reagents are added. --Project Osprey (talk) 11:13, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
- Support: Combining these, with a redirect at CHN Analyser obviously, would be sensible given that this article is more comprehensive. Mike Turnbull (talk) 11:07, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support merging CHN analyzer into Combustion analysis per the above, noting that Elemental_analysis#CHNX_analysis doesn't even link to CHN analyzer. Mdewman6 (talk) 08:29, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
- Merger complete. Klbrain (talk) 16:33, 23 April 2022 (UTC)
