Is "counting constants" an error for "counting constraints"? —Tamfang 21:15, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I believe so. I'm going to change it. Andri Egilsson 00:25, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

some of the properties are true only when the dimension is *finite*, i think it should be mentioned.

simple example

[edit]

May I ask, can someone who knows better just provide a simple example? I am presuming that codimension runs something like the following, but I'd love to have someone who knows for sure add it to the page:

The codimension of a point inside a cube is 2. The reason is because a cube is 3D and a point is 1D, so the codimension is 3 - 1 = 2.

Is my simplistic logic correct here? Thanks! Mike

The dimension of a point is zero. —Tamfang (talk) 21:48, 19 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Tangent Bundle

[edit]

From the article:

Just as the dimension of a submanifold is the dimension of the tangent bundle (the number of dimensions that you can move on the submanifold)

I think this should be "tangent space"; for an dimensional manifold, the tangent bundle has dimension — Preceding unsigned comment added by JarredBarber (talkcontribs) 12:04, 18 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
