[edit]In the reference from the NWA:
"Before starting broadcasting Claire headed up the “media bench” in the Northern Alberta Weather Centre. Handled all press and media contact with the operational weather office. Screened and helped to amend all public forecasts for the Northern Alberta regions. Disseminated all warnings and advisories issued for Northern Alberta"
I'm myself working for Environment Canada as a forecaster and I know what this description infers : This means she was a meteorological technician in a local sub office call a WO4 prior to 1996. The job of those technicians was for dissemination and local adaptation. This was not the job of a certified meteorologist in Canada. So Ms Martin might have a B.SC. with emphasis in Meteorology but this does not make her a meteorologist.

- I have contacted the Edmonton office. They confirm that Ms Martin worked there as a meteorological technician in the Edmonton WO4, as she did not have a Bachelor degree. In 1996, she was due to be on the MSC meteorologist course, after obtaining her B.Sc, but accepted the job with ITV first. So her formal status is kind of "in between". - Whether she is an official Environment Canada meteorologist, the available reliable sources identify her specifically as a "meteorologist". Perhaps a case could be developed to challenge this identification, but Wikipedia is not the appropriate place to do that due to Wikipedia's original research policy.
