Question on sources

The sources for this article include archival documents (footnote 2) and interviews (footnote 6). My understanding is this diverges from Wikipedia policy. Are these sources from a published book or article? If that is so, then the book or article needs to be cited. In any case, the references aren't clear; for example, what is "UCA" in footnote 2?
