[edit]In case of controversy, let me explain my edit. In Singapore, the British term "drink driving" is used more often than "drunk driving" (American). I replaced the word "slapped" with a fine, although in daily conversation, this is an acceptable word.VK35 17:16, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: not moved. No consensus for using year of birth as a disambiguator here. Might be worth a new RM with Christopher Lee (Malaysian actor) as the proposed title. Jenks24 (talk) 07:11, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
Christopher Lee (Singaporean actor) → Christopher Lee (actor, born 1971) – Born, raised and educated in Malaysia, nothing I've seen suggests that he has acquired Singaporean nationality. Besides Singapore, he has done quite a bit of work in Taiwan and mainland China especially in recent years, so I don't think the "Singaporean actor" label is ideal if he is not a Singaporean national. - Oppose - His birth date is unverifiable and should be removed. Also, the proposed title is more confusing than the present title. In fact, he is ethnically Chinese. Without nationality, we might have assumed that he is White instead. --George Ho (talk) 07:01, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose We shouldn't be so quick to go to birth year, even if we were certain about it, per WP:NCP. If he's known as Singaporean, I don't think we need to worry about calling him such regardless of his actual citizenship. It definitely seems like he's based in Singapore and best known there. But if there are concerns there, Christopher Lee (Malaysian actor) seems like it would also be accurate and unambiguous. --BDD (talk) 19:49, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
- Comment I would support a move to either Christopher Lee (Malaysian actor) or, since he is ethnically Chinese and has acted in Taiwan and mainland China, to Christopher Lee (Chinese actor). —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 23:48, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
- If you can read Chinese it's very easy to find Singaporeans and Malaysian Chinese arguing about his nationality on social media (an example), therefore using nationality to disambiguate is definitely controversial. Timmyshin (talk) 19:06, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- Is he on Twitter or anything? Maybe someone can ask him how he identifies. --BDD (talk) 19:28, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- He's on facebook [1]... Looks like he's still holding a Malaysian passport: [2] Timmyshin (talk) 22:00, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
