Tuckahoe Indian tribe

Tuckahoe is a park in the north central part of queen Anne's county on marylands eastern shore near ruthsburg and Centreville townships. Tuckahoe itself is a word that was anglicized by British settlers taken from the the local Indian tribe who referred to themselves as the tok won no people. The tribe its believed was of Algonquin origin and lived in what is current day queen anne and Caroline counties. 67.44.209.12 (talk) 01:55, 26 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
