US team in 2000?

I can find no reference anywhere about a US team in 2000 claiming to find the site. There was a film made when Phil Bland and Sarah Russell visited Mauritania, but they made no claim to finding the site. I have added 'citation needed' to this section, and will in time remove the sentences if there is no further information Rdwarre57 (talk) 08:35, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No citation provided so I have removed sentences in the final paragraph that claimed that 'the site' had been found Rdwarre57 (talk) 02:17, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
