I know quite a lot of 'Malaysians' come to wikipedia, but isn't Chindian kind of racist and why haven't I seen this word on before? it seems to be very recently mass-added by somebody —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.50.198.194 (talk • contribs) 17:35, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
Clean up Tone
[edit]Some aspects of this article are totally 19th century and demeaning! The tone needs to be cleaned up. For example:
"In the late 19th to early 20th century, Chinese men in Mauritius married Indian women due to both a lack of Chinese women and higher numbers of Indian women on the island.[9][10] At first the prospect of relations with Indian women was unappealing to the original all male Chinese migrants yet they eventually had to establish sexual unions with Indian women since there were no Chinese women coming." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.15.24.148 (talk) 02:16, 14 July 2015 (UTC)

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Chindians's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. Feel free to remove this comment after fixing the refs. AnomieBOT⚡ 05:20, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
