I will (hopefully) review this within the month. But before I do I have a question: are there any other RS sources available about Wambebe? The source from the Guardian is doing a ton of heavy lifting, and it would be preferable for a GA to not rely too heavily on a single source. @LunaEatsTuna Thanks for picking this review up. I do not see any major problem with the Guardian source. Besides, there’s also a SIGCOV at TWAS. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 05:33, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds alright to me; makes the spotcheck easier! Template:LunaEatsTunaSig (talk), posted at 01:53, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Da review:

  • I would make it "National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD) in Abuja", and do the same for the sentence in § Career and research.
  • Specify also in the lead what countries Tshwane and Makerere Universities are located in.
  • Do you know if Emi Tsado is a village, city, district etc.? Because it has no article it might be more informative for readers to say something like "in the town of Emi Tsado, Kogi State, Nigeria" etc. if possible. :)
  • Is what four plants it was derived from relevant or not really? I notice you exclude their names.
  • The abbreviations for the agencies, like CDC, ADB etc. are not necessary as they are not mentioned again, and these abbreviations clog up the article quite a bit.
  • There is a lot mentioned in the third paragraph of § Career and research without any dates, which makes the whole thing slightly jarring; are you at all able to possibly find out when he was appointed President of the International Biomedical Research for Africa? It is fine if not but it seems like an important position that might have some coverage.
  • Does "His research focused on the development of phytomedicines from African indigenous ..." refer specifically to his writings in journals and books? If so, you could combine it with the prior sentence to make something like: "He published articles in international journals and contributed chapters to books, focusing his research on the development of phytomedicines from African indigenous medical knowledge using African food plants" to make this more clear (if true) and improve the flow of the article.
  • Are you able to find out what the other books he authored were? This article could have a Bibliography section.
  • "He was elected a fellow of" – how about "He was an elected fellow of" instead?
@LunaEatsTuna Checks out :) Vanderwaalforces (talk) 21:32, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Perfect! I am now happy to pass this article for GA status. Congrats! ❧ LunaEatsTuna (talk), proudly editing since 2017 – posted at 18:15, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
