[edit]Since we have articles on Sophia Gardens (cricket ground) not "The SSE SWALEC", The Oval not the "Kia Oval", and the Rose Bowl (cricket ground) not the "Ageas Bowl", shouldn't this article be named Centurion Park? – PeeJay 18:06, 25 July 2016 (UTC)
- @PeeJay2K3: I absolutely agree with you on this... My consensus is with "Centurion Park"!!! Cricket246 (talk) 19:27, 25 July 2016 (UTC)

SuperSport Park → Centurion Park – See discussion at WT:CRIC#Centurion or SuperSport?. Long held consensus at the cricket project that sponsor names should not be used, and so this article should be Centurion Park (same as existing examples listed at that talk) Joseph2302 (talk) 12:25, 8 March 2020 (UTC)
- Support move per precedent. O.N.R. (talk) 13:02, 8 March 2020 (UTC)
- Comment, the article claims that the stadium is owned by Supersport. If this is true, it's not quite like your average sponsorship arrangement. Hack (talk) 07:05, 9 March 2020 (UTC)
- Support - it's not just in cricket that this is the case. I tend to think that the common name is generally Centurion anyway, although obviously the teams that play there use the commercial name as much as possible. Sponsorships come and go, as does ownership fwiw. Traditional names don't. Blue Square Thing (talk) 08:15, 9 March 2020 (UTC)
- Comment As I mentioned at WT:CRIC, Cricket South Africa and the team that uses the ground call it SuperSport Park. Match reports from the BBC and the Guardian (amongst others) use SuperSport Park. There's a proposal, above, to rename the article. That was from four years ago, so maybe this is the WP:COMMONNAME. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 09:40, 9 March 2020 (UTC)
- Support. In the same way it's The Oval and not the Kia Oval, or the Rose Bowl and not the Ageas Bowl. StickyWicket (talk) 18:32, 9 March 2020 (UTC)
