Time

[edit]

Metra Train (talk) 16:47, 19 April 2019 (UTC) This page says the water arc goes off for 5 minutes every hour on the hour. I have found one website that may be a potential source for it being 5 minutes right here. (https://www.lonelyplanet.com/usa/chicago/attractions/centennial-fountain/a/poi-sig/1383251/361932) However, before finding this site, I have encountered other sources that say the water arc goes for 10 minutes each hour instead of 5. Here are some of them. (https://www.emporis.com/buildings/239422/centennial-fountain-chicago-il-usa) (https://www.loopnorth.com/news/cannon0325.htm) Should what the page currently says stay this way or should it be changed?[reply]

Hi I moved your comment to where they are usually placed. This source [1] explains it well and is a good source. Feel free to practice changing it to that. (also sign your comments at the end, thanks) Thank you much. Alanscottwalker (talk) 21:23, 19 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation page?

[edit]

Should Centennial Fountain be converted into a disambiguation page? There are at least 2 other pages with similar titles. ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:39, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Alanscottwalker: Curious what you think, as a contributor to this article. ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:41, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I think, why? Under the policies and guidelines is there something about the present set-up that is not working? Alanscottwalker (talk) 16:47, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Alanscottwalker, Just curious if you thought this Centennial Fountain was the Centennial Fountain, or if you thought the various Centennial Fountains were generally equal re: notability and therefore a disambiguation page would be best. ---Another Believer (Talk) 21:25, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Well, such matters are usually addressed by research (eg. On what basis do you think something?) I ran a non-geographic bias google search here: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Centennial+Fountain&PWS=0 and it indicates the current is fine.
