Main article on Iran should definitely link to this
[edit]One of the most important things you can know about a government is whether and how it commits censorship. A democracy in which political speech is censored is no democracy at all.

Improvements
[edit]I'm planning to work on this article for the coming weeks and make some improvements.
1. I would like to restructure the article and add some new sections. Maybe something like this would work: Censorship law, History and context, Subject matters (with subcategories political, religious, literature, media, internet censorship).
2. I want to add more facts and numbers to give a better impression of censorship in Iran. I could for example use Freedom House as a reliable source.
3. I think the introduction can be much improved. A good definition of censorship with a reference is missing and the introduction contains too many random facts.
4. Add more references.Noauva (talk) 13:46, 26 April 2019 (UTC)
