Disambig
[edit]Maybe Casual should point to a disambig. page instead of here. Thoughts? -Dwiki 21:11, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
Agree. This should be "casual wear" except for the last paragraph, which should be "casual work" or "casual employment". I'll give it another week and then do it. Itsmejudith 09:57, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
Should "day wear" redirect here? Chrisrus (talk) 16:31, 15 June 2012 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: MOVED, along with moving DAB to the base page of Casual. (non-admin closure) Galobtter (pingó mió) 09:36, 11 June 2018 (UTC)
Casual → Casual attire – Per WP:PRECISION (to narrow down the scope rather than dealing with a general adjective pertaining more suitably to Wiktionary) as well as, most imortantly, per WP:CONSISTENCY with informal attire. Chicbyaccident (talk) 00:42, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
I support this move. In fact, the "Casual" article name should actually be a redirect to a "Casual (disambiguation)" page, too. --Doug Mehus (talk) 02:17, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support – the adjective title is too ambiguous, and we prefer noun forms. Dicklyon (talk) 05:05, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support In ictu oculi (talk) 06:33, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
- Strong support per PRECISION Red Slash 15:13, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support. The adjective "casual" is used in a lot of contexts other than clothing dress codes, so the title of an article about this needs to be more precise. Agreed that the plain title should land at a disambiguation page rather than this, but the dab page should be moved here rather than this redirecting to the dab page's current title. Bearcat (talk) 19:38, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
- Strongly support per nom. We might want to also move Casual (disambiguation) → to "Casual". Paintspot Infez (talk) 23:55, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support and move Casual (disambiguation) to Casual. Rreagan007 (talk) 21:00, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support per nom and support a move of Casual (disambiguation) to Casual. — AjaxSmack 02:18, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: move the page to Casual wear at this time, per the discussion below. Dekimasuよ! 21:00, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
Casual attire → Casual wear – This is the WP:COMMONNAME (Google News: [1] vs. [2]; Google Books: [3] vs. [4]. It's also consistent with the decision in the move request at Formal wear. Cúchullain t/c 14:43, 5 July 2018 (UTC)--Relisting. Dekimasuよ! 17:57, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
- Support, per nom and common name. And casual wear, it's casual, and "attire" is a little too formal sounding for "casual". But officially per nom and common name. Randy Kryn (talk) 22:17, 5 July 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose for now, only because I'm not sure how to interpret this massive spike in use of "casual attire" starting in ~2000 reported by Google Ngrams. Making the same search case-sensitive also shows a swap in dominant usage of "casual attire", though the degree is less. -- Netoholic @ 06:51, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
- Support per WP:CONSISTENCY. If any article of this sort should be at "attire" it would be Formal attire, which redirects to Formal wear. I would not be opposed to a reverse move of that sort, and leaving this one as-is. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 00:15, 13 July 2018 (UTC)
- Support as a common name. Anarchyte (work | talk) 12:07, 22 July 2018 (UTC)
