vague and ambigious past history

"She grew up in New York City in a blue-collar family. With no help from friends, families or mentors, she went out on her own, picked up a trade paper, saw an ad for a casting call and sneaked into an audition"

First of all blue-collar family what does that mean... in addition, what is this with no help or anything... do people usually help people or what?

i do not see this drama story as being factual.... it is not very detailed... - sp0 9-17-2006

"Blue-collar" family refers to the working class.--Hndsmepete 21:31, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

"the working class?" This is not really a well-defined term.... Do you mean anyone who has a job? Also, this entry seems more promotional than factual: "She got her degree in three years." So what?! -- D_Haggerty 8/31/08 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.143.57.54 (talk) 20:02, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
