Canta y No Llores → Canta y No Llores (2024 film) – restore original title, before it was moved by @Bovineboy2008: citing "Remove unnecessary parentheses/disambiguator". Capitalisation is not sufficient to distinguish the 2024 film from the song refrain "Canta y no llores" or Canta y no llores... (1949 film), especially when capitalisation of Spanish-language titles is inconsistent. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 10:45, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
- Support move and redirect Canta y no llores. BOVINEBOY2008 18:25, 25 December 2024 (UTC)
- Move to Canta y no llores (2024 film), following Spanish-language capitalization rules (which are generally "consistent") for titles of creative works.--Asqueladd (talk) 18:54, 25 December 2024 (UTC)
- Support since the primary topic for "Canta y no llores" appears to be the chorus of a famous song. I agree that mixed uses of case with foreign-language titles should not be considered enough WP:SMALLDETAIL. Neither the 1949 film and the 2024 film have significant numbers of pageviews to differentiate from the song and related chorus, nor from each other, as indicated here. So with both films being secondary topics, they should be disambiguated from each other. Further, I think the 1949 film does not warrant the ellipsis. Google Books repeatedly shows the 1949 film's title without the ellipsis here. Erik (talk | contrib) (ping me) 19:19, 25 December 2024 (UTC)
- To clarify, I am also fine with writing both films' titles (aside from disambiguation terms) to be Canta y no llores instead of Canta y No Llores since for both films, that seems to be the preferred way to write their titles. Erik (talk | contrib) (ping me) 15:58, 26 December 2024 (UTC)
- As nominator I also support a move to Canta y no llores (2024 film) (with thanks to other editors). Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 21:01, 27 December 2024 (UTC)
