[edit]I created a new page for the butterfly Callophrys xami for a Behavioral Ecology class, and I tried to cover the major topics and ideas, such as courtship, host plants, predation, and description. As a new editor and writer, I look forward to getting some comments on what information I should add and how I should improve this article for future readers.

Edit Suggestions
[edit]Hi there, I made some changes to the writing of this article and added a photo of one of the host plants. This article covers a lot of information, which is great! I think it's possible that the section on territory defense could be combined with the section on mating and courtship, and the oviposition and host plant sections could maybe be combined as well. I think the lead section could also be updated to include more information that's in the article, and it could use a few more sources as well. This article is looking really good! Hello, Great job! I think small suggestions for improvement could be to elaborate on how males intrude on other territories in the male territory defense section. You could also possibly make oviposition a subsection under host plants, and elaborate on "defense mechanisms" in the specific host plants. In the subsection migration, instead of "it" you can put the butterfly species name, and in the typical courtship process section, you could elaborate on what the courtship dance is like if possible. Other than that, good luck editing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sjwang312 (talk • contribs) 16:21, 5 October 2017 (UTC)
This article is really thorough and well written! It has a great amount of information about the various topics related to C. xami. Similarly to what Lilymalcolm mentioned, I think a few of the sections could be logically combined, although I do not think this is strictly necessary. I edited the article and changed some grammar and syntax to make certain sentences slightly more clear as just a few of them were slightly confusing. In addition, I added some internal links to other Wikipedia articles that are relevant in the context of the article. It would also be interesting, since you do talk about defense from predators, to include a section about what organisms are predators to this butterfly. Overall, really good work! Hey great job! I thought this article was really well written. I added some hyperlinks to your lead paragraph, and would suggest that more be added to the lead description, but other than that, I thought it was really good! Lily1004 (talk) 02:24, 1 December 2017 (UTC)
Section headings
[edit]@Krecto176: Just a note that on Wikipedia the standard way of writing section headings is in sentence case. That is, the first word is capitalized and subsequent words are not capitalized unless they include a proper noun. That's explained at MOS:HEADINGS in our Manual of Style.
