Notability (or a lack of notability) is not inherited. As you can see from the sourcing, the Cacowards have been covered by numerous secondary media outlets, including several print magazines (PCGamer in particular has covered them in their magazine for 3 years straight). The Cacowards have received extensive media coverage in recent years and after more than 20 years they are already well established.
