Major Episodes Section

The list of episodes was not at all encyclopaedic. There was no indication of notability. The English used in the section was not encyclopaedic either. I tried to improve the section by removing some un-noteworthy episodes and correcting the English on others. But it became clear that this would be impossible. I have removed the Major Episodes Section per WP:EPISODES which states that these sections "...must still be notable, and contain out-of-universe context, and not merely be a list of episode titles or cast and crew: Wikipedia is not a directory." There was no mention of why these episodes are notable nor was there was zero out-of-universe context. This is not a C.I.D. (TV series) fan site, it is an encyclopaedic. There have been many recent edits to this page which go against WP:PLOT and I would ask anyone about to edit this page to read WP:PLOT, WP:EPISODE and WP:MOS. File:CID.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

An image used in this article, File:CID.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?
Speedy deletions at commons tend to take longer than they do on Wikipedia, so there is no rush to respond. If you feel the deletion can be contested then please do so (commons:COM:SPEEDY has further information). Otherwise consider finding a replacement image before deletion occurs.

A further notification will be placed when/if the image is deleted. This notification is provided by a Bot, currently under trial --CommonsNotification (talk) 08:18, 9 May 2011 (UTC)

An image used in this article, File:Cidsonytv.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion for the following reason: All Wikipedia files with unknown copyright status

What should I do?

Don't panic; you should have time to contest the deletion (although please review deletion guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to provide a fair use rationale
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale, then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Deletion Review

include list of episodes for 2012

this is a special request from a big fan of C.I.D. to include the list of the episodes of c.i.d.. i am a very big fan and have not missed a single episode of it. so please add the list of episodes as it was included earlier — Preceding unsigned comment added by Priyasingh453 (talkcontribs) 07:24, 16 September 2012 (UTC)

Full protection / length

I've fully protected the article to stop the edit warring associated with the episode list. At the risk of breaking WP:INVOLVED, I have to tell you that both sides are just wrong. The correct thing to do is to create thing to do is to create a separate page listing all of the episodes. Episode lists are almost always allowed, as long as the program is notable enough, and this one clearly seems to fit that. WP:DIRECTORY does not preclude episode lists. However, the info shouldn't go on this article, because there's far too many episodes, such that it makes this page too long. In fact, you probably can't put all of the episodes on to one page, because 150K is to long for onbe page. You probably need a separate page for each season; if there are no clear "seasons", use years. Then you make a main page that very very briefly lists each episode. As an example of how such articles can be found at List of House episodes, along with the linked lists House (season 1), House (season 2), etc. The overview list should, of course, be linked on this article. Qwyrxian (talk) 10:05, 2 December 2012 (UTC)

I split off the list of episodes because this page was showing up on Special:Longpages. I think the number of characters in the episode list can be brought down to something more reasonable just with more efficient use of CSS; most of it is just repetitive formatting. -- Beland (talk) 20:03, 4 March 2013 (UTC)

Edit request on 2 December 2012

In the History section please change C.I.D. set a record on 7&nbspNovember 2004, to C.I.D set a record on 7 November 2004 removing &nbsp because it is probably a mistake of wiki markup. please answer my edit request as soon as possible.

Forgot to put name (talk) 15:53, 2 December 2012 (UTC)

Done but it wasn't the &nbsp that was in error - that is recommended by MOS:DATE. The problem was the presence of a amp; which prevented the intentional   from being correctly interpreted; now fixed. --Redrose64 (talk) 16:28, 2 December 2012 (UTC)

Strange action !

On 12 June, 2013, I had made correction to the sentence of line 98(Guinness World Record text) as follows: ... every " India should be proud of ....." duly changed to (correctly read as) .... " every Indian should be proud of ..... ". But, STRANGELY, it was immediately undone (and reverted back) by one Mr. Gillian (an expert in the family of Wikipedia approved and accredited editors, I believe).--74.244.129.207 (talk) 16:07, 1 August 2013 (UTC)

A protected redirect, List of C.I.D. episodes, needs redirect category (rcat) templates added. Please modify it as follows:

  • from this:
#REDIRECT [[CID (Indian TV series)]]

{{redr}}
  • to this:
#REDIRECT [[CID (Indian TV series)]]

{{Redr|from move|from subtopic|with history|unprintworthy}}
  • WHEN YOU COPY & PASTE, PLEASE LEAVE THE SKIPPED LINE BLANK FOR READABILITY.

Template Redr is an alias for the {{This is a redirect}} template, which is used to sort redirects into one or more categories. When {{pp-protected}} and/or {{pp-move}} suffice, the This is a redirect template will detect the protection level(s) and categorize the redirect automatically. (Also, the categories will be automatically removed or changed when and if protection is lifted, raised or lowered.) Thank you in advance! Paine  23:24, 14 October 2015 (UTC)
