[edit]There is a new comet also called Sliding Spring (designation C/2013 A1) and it's going to get some traffic here because of its very close approach to Mars in mid-October 2014. See articles on Slate: http://www.slate.com/blogs/bad_astronomy/2013/02/28/mars_impact_the_red_planet_may_get_hit_by_a_comet_in_october_2014.html which also has links to JPL and MPEC, and the announcement from JPL here: http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/news.php?release=2013-081. If anyone reads this, I would apologize for not writing it myself, but I know very little about wiki editing. HelenWheels UT (talk) 15:38, 7 March 2013 (UTC)
