2006 post
[edit]I am going to start on a major clean up of this article. This building is cited as one of the most important architectural treasures of Dublin, yet this article is quite sparse for a building of this importance. Please help with the expansion and leave any comments to my talk page. --Dubud 16:33, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
Where is it?
[edit]Very nice, but where is it? It's like saying London's National Gallery is in London. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.189.103.145 (talk) 21:09, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

[edit]is it really pronounced bus-OR-əs ? kwami (talk) 02:11, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
- I would have rendered it as Bus-aww-ras, or with the middle syllable pronounced as the english word "awe", but bus-OR-as is close to the the Irish pronunciation tooFlowerpotmaN·(t) 15:21, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
Previous buildings on the site?
[edit]Does anyone know what was on the site before Busaras? Did it replace an existing bus station? Maps.osi.ie shows a building on the site in or around 1913, but doesn't identify it. (See http://maps.osi.ie/publicviewer/#V1,716383,734717,7,9) It would be an interesting addition to the article to mention the previous use of the site, especially if it was indeed used in some way for public transport services. - Hi. I think that's a great idea. The building in the OSI map is (or was) a multi-storied bonding warehouse (next to the old dock). You'll find some stuff about the pre-planning for Busáras here on Archiseek (including some plans which didn't come to fruition). Including the proposed Customs House circus. One of Turle Bunbury's books also discusses it. Let me know if you need any input pulling a few sentences or para about it. Guliolopez (talk) 10:24, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
