[edit]I added this page because the clickable links referring to Burton Rodin on the pages Dennis Sullivan and in the History Section of Circle packing theorem led to a “No article with this name” page. Concerning the notability standards, his proof of the Thurston Conjecture with Dennis Sullivan is major (a brief assessment of its influence appears in the History section of the page “Circle packing theorem”). Also, I referenced the paper on his invited hour address to the AMS because such invitations are regarded by some as evidence of notability for mathematicians. (Indeed, there was a recent proposal by the AMS to this effect: see section III A 1 of http://www.ams.org/notices/200607/fea-fellows.pdf ). --Einar-Mittag (talk) 00:34, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
