Past Members and Personnel section

[edit]

Reading the article, I'm not seeing reliable sources supporting the inclusion of Doug Hastings, Ken Koblun, and Jim Fielder as "Past Members." The article says Hastings "filled in" for Young, but I don't see a source confirming that, and it's not clear to me that someone temporarily filling in for a musician is a member of the band. The article described Koblun as coming to California and leaving quickly, but doesn't mention becoming part of Buffalo Springfield. Fielder isn't described, and is only an item in the "Past Members" and "Personnel" lists; he is listed as a "Session musician" on the article for the album Buffalo Springfield Again and "Additional personnel" for the album Last Time Around.

Should they be removed from the "Past Members"?

The section "Personnel" suggests that Fielder, Koblun, and Hastings were members, again without a source supporting that. Is also suggests Ken Forssi was a member, without a source. The "Personnel" section then has a "Additional musicians" subsection. It includes Rick Rosas and Joe Vitale, who toured with the Buffalo Springfield on their most recent reunion tour. It also includes Rusty Young, who was "Additional personnel" on Last Time Around.

Should the "Personnel" section just be removed? It seems like it's trying to include both band members and folks who've performed with the Buffalo Springfield, but isn't a complete list. Don't the album articles sufficiently list out these musicians? Davidwbaker (talk) 21:43, 26 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
