The inquest principally blamed the captain . . ": public inquiry??

"The inquest principally blamed the captain for failing to maintain airspeed . . ": inquest? or public inquiry?? – SquisherDa (talk) 16:59, 24 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it was the public inquiry, not the inquest, that made these judgments. I stand corrected, and many thanks, Squisher. Valetude (talk) 22:00, 24 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Map

[edit]

It’s a bit odd to see the aircraft’s path on a modern day map rather than one from near the date of the accident, I thought? 84.92.59.184 (talk) 18:55, 13 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Flight 548

[edit]

No mention in the article of a Trinidadian being on board that deadly flight. My uncle Stanley Frederick was left out. Please update that information 2803:1500:E02:A5ED:79A6:3422:B1F8:55FB (talk) 02:56, 25 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You are perfectly at liberty to edit the article yourself if you wish, though you may get an objection if you don't provide a citation (which would be churlish, under the circumstances, IMHO). It is true that the Guardian article cited only accounts for 111 of the 112 passenger nationalities, and there is indeed a Mr S P Frederick listed as a passenger in the investigation report (though that doesn't quote any nationalities). Go for it! DaveReidUK (talk) 07:00, 25 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It is possible that as a Trinidadian Mr. Frederick actually held British citizenship in which case he would be listed under the 'British' casualties. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.8.126.91 (talk) 10:30, 6 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
