Peter Fox
[edit]Help! I'm trying to disambiguate all the rugby league-related Peter Fox articles by naming them appropriately. I'm not sure, but it seems we've got a Peter Fox playing on the wing currently for Wakefield Trinity. Then there was Peter Fox, coach of Bradford in the 1970s and another Peter Fox coaching Bradford in the 1990s. I need someone who knows more about English rugby league than I do.--Jeff79 00:35, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
Peter Fox 70's and Peter Fox 90's are one and the same. Tristram0 18:51, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- Cool, thanks.--Jeff79 07:25, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Article structure
[edit]I'd like to try and canvass opinion on the possibility of restructuring this page. This page is linked to by the 'history' menu item from the main menu. However the page actually contains at least 2 types of content: the history of the club and more up to date details, including up to date squad and scores. I'd like to split the page into 2 with the main page having a brief intro, the current squad, results, etc (the stuff that Kesboy79 is doing a sterling job of keeping up to date) and a separate history page that won't change as often. What do you think? Tristram0 06:37, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- Sounds good. May be an idea to check out what we've done with the Brisbane Broncos series of articles. The thing is though, if you've got articles detailing each season, you don't want them to repeat what's on the other pages. So with the Broncos the season articles just have lists and statistics, but the history has all the text.--Jeff79 07:25, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- Look at the Sydney Roosters as an example - their article has "featured" status Tim Fellows 04:20, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
Possible transfers in
[edit]rm stuff that is definitely hit and miss. ie Paul Sykes has a contract that ends in 2009, one newspaper article stating that he may want to return is not enough to warrant that section, the same with the others. Londo06 16:34, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
Length of article
[edit]The Bulls page is loaded with history, suggest a history of the Bradford club set up and linked to this page. Londo06 13:36, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
High importance?
[edit]Not really. I understand that rugby is more important than life itself to some people, but to the average person, it's of low importance. So I've modified it accordingly.

Bradford Bulls
[edit]Bradford Bulls real name is Bradford Northern. (well said pal)

Administration
[edit]Let's be clear about this now - that the company has gone into administration does not mean that the club has folded. Therefore describing them as defunct and changing from the present tense to the past tense "is a RL club/was a RL club" is not appropriate. If the club is liquidated then that situation will change but for the time being the team are still playing in Super League. NtheP (talk) 09:56, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
Duplicated navboxes?
[edit]What's going on with Template:Bradford Bulls Bull Masters and Template:Bradford Bulls Millenium Masters. They both have the same name. Do any sources exist for them so they can even be verified?--Gibson Flying V (talk) 06:13, 2 December 2013 (UTC)
1965 Yorkshire Cup final
[edit]A Lionel Williamson played for Bradford Northern in the 1965 Yorkshire Cup final, is this Lionel Williamson? Best regards. DynamoDegsy (talk) 11:37, 13 October 2014 (UTC)

RE: Page move
[edit]Does this need to be Bradford Bulls (1907) yet? The new Bradford RLFC are not yet named and may not include the suffix Bulls. Also, Bradford Bulls redirects here anyway! Bwfcwarrior (talk) 22:23, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
- No it doesn't need disambiguating at this stage. Just because someone who may or may not be involved with the new owners has registered a company (not named a rugby team) Bradford Bulls 2017 PLC or something like that is no guarantee that the new playing side will be called Bradford Bulls. If it is then we can worry about how to disambiguate the to then, for the time being the move has been reverted. Nthep (talk) 22:31, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
- I think it should now be moved to Bradford Northern on the basis that the old club was known by this name for most of its history. We might also wish to consider if Bradford Northern was, in fact, two clubs, as the original club appears to have been liquidated in 1963 and a new club formed in 1964. Mooretwin (talk) 17:02, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
- There's several questions here
- Do we rename this article to Bradford Northern?
- If we do #1 do we rename Bradford Bulls 2017 to Bradford Bulls?
- Should we split this article into Bradford Northern (1907–1963) and Bradford Northern/Bulls (1964–2017)?
- Id #3 is no then should we just merge Bradford Bulls 2017 into this article?
- I have to say my preferences would be Yes, Yes, No & No. I know the Nos might appear inconsistent with starting a new article on the new club but it's old now, splitting this article just seems like an unnecessary effort to achieve little. Nthep (talk) 17:34, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
- My view would be Yes, No, Yes, n/a. Mooretwin (talk) 23:42, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
