Fair use rationale for Image:NS logo.jpg

[edit]

Image:NS logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Did you know? If you fancy doing so, I always have plenty of GA nominees to review. Just look for the all-uppercase titles in the Television section. Reviews always appreciated.

  • The CCL station features Aquatic Fauna No. 1 by Lam Hoi Lit and Chua Chye Teck and the DTL station features What is a Tree? by Shirley Soh. WP:CINS comma after "Lit" — these are two sentences
  • Botanic Gardens was first announced to be an interchange station with the Downtown Line (DTL) in 2007. The LTA announced that the interchange will be built as part of DTL Stage 2 (DTL2) on 15 July 2008 a bit redundant as written. Botanic Gardens was first announced to be an interchange station with the Downtown Line (DTL) in 2007, and the LTA announced on 15 July 2008 that it would be part of DTL Stage 2 (DTL2).
  • Contract 919 for the design and construction of Stevens station and associated tunnels was awarded to Sembawang Engineers and Constructors Pte Ltd for S$378.2 million (US$260.02 million) in July 2009. The contract also includes the construction of the adjacent Stevens station. Redundant — probably an errant mention needing changing
  • On the CCL, the station is between the Caldecott and Farrer Road stations while the station is between the Tan Kah Kee and Stevens stations on the DTL. Comma after "stations"
  • The station is located near the Singapore Botanic Gardens along Bukit Timah Road and the two entrances of the station serve maybe The station is located near the Singapore Botanic Gardens along Bukit Timah Road; its two entrances serve
  • wheelchair accessible hyphenate
  • Using a technique similar to traditional Chinese paper-cutting, the artist produced various images in a short time, with which they could work. excise "with which they could work".
  • A Gardens' volunteer should not be a possessive
  • The idea to incorporate literature was taken from her visits to train stations in India, where poetry was written on the walls of stations for waiting commuters to read. maybe Soh took the idea to incorporate literature from her visits to train stations in India, where poetry was written on the walls of stations for waiting commuters to read. since other people are mentioned after the last mention of Soh.

Sourcing and spot checks

[edit]
  • 6: Ministry of Transport announcement of station opening. Mark as dead so a click steers to the archive URL. checkY
  • 8: Opening ceremony speech on 7 October. Tomorrow morning, this station will open with eleven others along the existing Circle Line, from Marymount to Harbourfront. checkY
  • 11: DTL2 station and alignment announcement includes Botanic Gardens listed as the only CCL interchange. checkY
  • 22: Cheong has a page on features of the Circle Line stations including "wide faregates make moving a wheelchair or big bags through a cinch." this is a system feature now. checkY
  • 28: The station design was inspired by natural flora and fauna. The material palette was carefully chosen and touches of nature were woven into the interiors. checkY

Earwig only flags work and organization names and "quotes by poets, artists and nature lovers", which is pretty hard to reword.
