Even if Boring Test Tunnel is how TBC refers to it internally, I'm not convinced it counts as the WP:COMMONNAME, and there are other test tunnels that have been bored by other companies so it isn't WP:PRECISE. Nor should test and tunnel be capitalised per WP:TITLEFORMAT.

I'd suggest The Boring Company Hawthorne test tunnel; arguably the "The Boring Company test tunnel" would be more WP:CONCISE but there are likely to be other test tunnels for other TBC ventures in the future. Rosbif73 (talk) 11:01, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Could not find a clear common name, so went with a [hopefully] descriptive title (per WP:NDESC). Vaguely hoping that after the press surrounding the opening on 10 December 2018 a clearer name will present itself. —Sladen (talk) 15:09, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough, though if it isn't intended as a proper name then it should definitely be sentence case rather than title case. Anyway, let's hope you're right that a clearer common name will prevail once we have a few more secondary sources. Rosbif73 (talk) 15:22, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Speed

[edit]

Seems a lot of sources are reporting the current operating speed at over 120mph, why are we saying 49mph? https://www.autoblog.com/2019/05/24/boring-company-video-tesla-model-3-127-mph-in-tunnel/ https://www.theverge.com/2019/5/24/18638534/boring-company-tesla-tunnel-race-elon-musk — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:646:8080:3665:B0FA:CB8:1D1C:F663 (talk) 20:57, 15 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The speed that a car apparently achieved in that tunnel is not the operating speed of said tunnel. I will change it to 49mph if there are no objections. BeŻet (talk) 16:22, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
