I've spoken to Sabzi in person about him being a "jazz-trained" pianist, and it's a complete fabrication or misunderstanding. Unless we can verify it with a better source than the Sasquatch page, I suggest it be removed. This link seems a little more verifiable. [1] joshphillips

The album pages should be created. ReverendG 01:57, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There is a conflict in the Record Label section - it talks about them starting their new label releasing Bayani on that, and then immediately goes on to saw it will be released on Rawkus (which it calls an "underground" label, but that's a whole other topic). Adelaarvaren

If I remember correctly, they decided to release Bayani under a joint venture between Massline and Rawkus.

Blue cholar

"The name "Blue Scholars" is a play on the term "blue collar," which is an idiom for workers who often earn meager hourly wages for manual labor."

I never picked up on that but I allways assumed it had to do with how they had "blue-sided" political messages in their in their songs, so I'm gonna ad th —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.112.87.145 (talk) 02:08, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I deleted "meager" because it sounds like blue collar is a pejorative term. Which it's not. Word. 132.161.142.216 (talk) 20:33, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Blue Scholar meaning

[edit]

"The name "Blue Scholars" is a play on the term "blue collar," which is an idiom for workers who often earn meager hourly wages for manual labor."

I never picked up on that, but I always assumed it was because they had liberal or "blue" views in the messages of their songs. I am gonna add that in, but correct me if I am wrong —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.112.87.145 (talk) 02:11, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

From "Blue School," on their self-titled LP: "The 'blue' is for the color of the collar of my mother / and my father, plus the 'scholars' that we be." The same track continues on with many other 'blue' symbols as well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.75.14.57 (talk) 20:47, 22 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
