While I'd love to help, These aren't things learned by attending blizzcon. I think there were about 6,000 people there? These should be available in several news articles about the con. McKay 14:34, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

BlizzCon 2007

Now that BlizzCon 2007 has been announced, the introductory paragraph should to be changed to refer to BlizzCon as an ongoing series of events in the present, not a single event in the past, as it seems likely at this point that Blizzard will continue to have BlizzCons in the future (although there is no certainty of this). If you disagree with the possibility of future BlizzCons beyond 2007, the introduction should at least refer to BlizzCon as an upcoming event in 2007 with a single occurrence in the past. Bear in mind that BlizzCon was something that Blizzard employees had stated during the BlizzCon '05, that they would like to make it an annual event. They didn't get it in '06, but we'll see if they can get it in '08. 66.93.144.171 14:44, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

Ticket Frustrations

I just rewrote a bunch of the article. I also left one paragraph in there, but put it in comment tags, as I feel something should be written about how the website performed, but am unsure how to do it objectively. I personally went through the "fun" of purchasing BlizzCon tickets, so I think it should be in there. Corath (talk) 20:25, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

Rumor

The text in this article quote "Blizzard will most likely be announcing the next WoW expansion during Blizzcon 2009.", is a rumor and I have removed it. There has been no official announcement if Blizzard would be announcing a new expansion, who knows, it may be a new game. Blizzcon 2009 beta keys

Contrary to another anonymous editor's assertion, they did not distribute game keys, beta or otherwise, in 2009. It's possible a small number of such keys were distributed as contest prizes or something, but that was not the case generally. Danicela : When I created this table in 2008, I made columns 'Game announcement', 'Beta key', 'Playable games', all these disappeared and were replaced by ... 3 columns of prices ? Seriously ? Going too deep into all of the rewards for buying a ticket, like getting a beta key for an upcoming game or a portrait in Starcraft is not what a general knowledge encyclopedia is supposed to do. Weird sentence in Blizzcon 2016 section

Should Blizzard adding another 2017 Ticket Sale require an edit?

Last week, Blizzard announced that they would sell another batch of tickets. The Q&A states their reason:

"Q: Why are more tickets on sale? A: Until recently, we weren’t sure if the new hall at the Anaheim Convention Center would be ready in time for BlizzCon. Once we confirmed it would be, we worked quickly to determine how we’d use the space and how many more people we could accommodate while preserving the awesomeness of the BlizzCon experience."

I'd assume this would be big enough for an edit, but obviously not big enough to be considered a "major edit". Adam tighe (talk) 16:11, 28 June 2017 (UTC)
