Title
[edit]Good morning Lightoil,
With WP:CONSISTENCY in mind (Spider-Man (2018 video game) and Spider-Man 2 (2023 video game) for instance), I'm thinking that the current title is not the right disambiguator. It's still upcoming and there is no set year of release as of now, so I'm not sure whether or not it should be changed back or not. Thoughts? soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 07:51, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Soetermans I have reverted my move since you have objected. Lightoil (talk) 08:08, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- Howevever, WP:CONSISTENCY is a disambiguation link so I am unsure what policy you have in mind because using the other articles is an WP:OTHERCONTENT argument. Lightoil (talk) 08:13, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- Oh don't get me wrong, it's not an objection necessarily to your page move, more along the lines of that 'Marvel's' is an unclear disambiguator, since Blade is a Marvel character. I was thinking of WP:CONSISTENT, sorry about that. Are you okay with the current title? soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 08:18, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- The current title is not great but will have to do till there is a release date for the game. Lightoil (talk) 16:48, 15 December 2023 (UTC)

Blade (upcoming video game) → Marvel's Blade – This is the WP:COMMONNAME of the video game not Blade. However, Soetermans objected to my move so I am starting a move request Lightoil (talk) 01:37, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
- Leaning oppose. We typically omit the company in Marvel's [name] or DC's [name] titles. O.N.R. (talk) 02:35, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
- Support Both WP:NATURAL and the clear and obvious common name. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 14:31, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose it's a video game and Marvel has a broader franchise. In ictu oculi (talk) 16:32, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose, per WP:CONSISTENT it wouldn't end up at the proposed title (see Spider-Man (2018 video game) and Spider-Man 2 (2023 video game)). There is also the Marvel character Blade (Blade (character)), the upcoming Marvel Studios film with the same name (currently at to Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase Six#Blade (2025)) and a separate New Line Cinema franchise with the same name (Blade (franchise)), which has an article about the character (Blade (New Line franchise character)), but also based upon the Marvel property. Too much Blades going around to have "Marvel's" the sole disambiguator for a video game. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 19:38, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose. Even if it were the common name, it's not specific enough disambiguation to be useful, so there's no reason to include it and clunk up the title. Nohomersryan (talk) 09:08, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
- Leaning oppose. I'll just jump in and say I titled the article to remain consistent with the page titlings for the Spider-Man games, but there is a certain inconsistency in how we title pages concerning Marvel games nowadays. Guardians of the Galaxy is still referred to as Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, and both Avengers and Midnight Suns still have the Marvel branding attached to it in their titles for some reason even though people are adamant on not doing so on Spider-Man or in this case, Blade. I do think it is a good distinction from both other Marvel games in the past as well as other Marvel products like films since it seems to be referred to publicly with the Marvel's association by Marvel and the developers of those games in promotional materials, but if we're going to align the page titling across all these Marvel games like this then I do think there should be more of a consistency regarding that in general.
