Break-up announcement

[edit]

I don't think what Greep has said is concrete enough for us to label the band as having broken up - I just don't think that three messages that were sent in an Instagram live stream are good enough of a source for this if it's not corroborated by anything else. Unless a better source comes out, I think we should err on the side of caution and describe them as still being a band. Michaelofg (talk) 08:09, 11 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Cameron Picton has just announced on Twitter that the band has broken up and that he is working on solo material - don’t know if this changes anything. Boombl4daddy (talk) 09:19, 11 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure what he meant by putting "breaking up" in quotes, but I think it's fair to take that as confirmation of at least the band not being active for the time being. Gorobloso (talk) 09:35, 11 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Now being reported on by reputable music outlets, [1][2] I think it's safe to say the band's definitely broken up (at least for now). - ysr elle! 10:56, 11 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Spinoffs Section

[edit]

Having "Black Midi, New Road" just redirect to the page for Black Country, New Road Might be confusing. It makes it seem like BC,NR is a spinoff of Black Midi, and the actual context for why it's done like that isn't very easy to find on either pages. Perhaps a new page for BM,NR should be created? Or at least a redirect or something. SheBlowsBubbles (talk) 20:10, 5 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I just created Black Midi, New Road as a direct to Black Country, New Road#Other projects, where the project is explained. I don't think Black Midi, New Road itself passes WP:N. Issan Sumisu (talk) 21:03, 5 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
