Tower height vs. focal height

[edit]

This is another of those instances where the focal height doesn't seem to be correct. This lighthouse would almost have to be sitting at water level for these numbers to make sense.Asher196 (talk) 04:46, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Terry Pepper's well-documented data bases say the tower height is 107 feet, and the focal plane is 106 feet. Maybe we should go with those numbers. As noted in the article, there is a discrepancy with other sources. I would also note that this is a 'sister' of Little Sable built at the same time (probably from the same design) and they presumably would have the same tower height. 7&6=thirteen (talk) 13:20, 12 June 2008 (UTC) Stan[reply]
Terry's numbers make more sense. I think we should use his.Asher196 (talk) 13:25, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

rerated

[edit]

I rerated this as a C - it definitely is not a stub. It could very well be a B, but I suggest the prose needs reworking to flow better. The driving directions in the last section are not encyclopedic, and a little more content never hurts. Smallbones (talk) 14:41, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
