Add A Fact: "Original station shelter at Benton Metro"

The shelter on the north platform is part of the original station. Brick built with slate roof. Iron columns and decorative iron finials on the roof.

This is it on the right. I have stood opposite it more than once waiting for a train back to the city centre. Shame there's not a better picture of it on Commons. It should be mentioned if we can get a better picture. I'm not due back for a while though. Perhaps someone else can oblige? 10mmsocket (talk) 11:21, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your comment. I was just trying out the new 'Add A Fact' extension, and thought this would be a good test. I was hoping it would do the leg work of creating a decent cite, but it hasn't. I've looked at the HER entry and there are some interesting facts there - both new and existing in the article - so it provide a really good reference. I have updated the article accordingly. It might be worth looking up HER entries for the other stations, especially the large number on the yellow line loop which pre-date the metro. 10mmsocket (talk) 15:02, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
