Notability
[edit]I'm not sure that this subject quite meets WP:GNG, as it appears to lack independent coverage in reliable sources about Ben as a character specifically. While the Concept and creation section would normally be a good sign of notability, in this case it seems to largely be cited to non-independent interviews with the show's creators, and the other sections largely just rehash the plot of the series as a whole. signed, Rosguill talk 20:27, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
- I think the character is notable enough (this is also mentioned in the deletion discussion) but I do agree that the sources on the page are very bad at a glance, so I think removing the notability message should be ok but the better sources one should stay. Image in infobox
[edit]This character is missing his primary Ben 10: Omniverse iteration from the collection of images used in the infobox of the character. The image used to represent the Ben 10: Omniverse series is the 11-year-old version, which is fine since he also appeared in some flashback episodes. I request the official artowrk of the 16-year-old Ben from Ben 10: Omniverse also be added in the images containing the official artworks of the numerous iterations of the character. After all, that iteration was in fact the primary protagonist of the Ben 10: Omniverse series. BlazerStar10 (talk) 15:39, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
Ben Tennyson - Powers and Abilities
[edit]The Ben Tennyson page should include his Powers and Abilities, like a lot of other superheroes have on their Wikipedia pages. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7F:70BE:F700:2C90:46EE:6077:C04B (talk) 08:46, June 14, 2021 (UTC)
Vandalism
[edit]Okay, who added the false information about the 2016 show taking place in Japan? Did people just ignore that when it got added? I reverted it, but seriously. Ben’s not named Benita, Max is not Koi, Gwen is not Shizuka, and Ken’s not Kenku. SacredSpirit123 (talk) 14:55, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
Scott Menville actually voiced Ben Tennyson
[edit]You don't believe that Scott Menville voiced Ben Tennyson because he really did the voiceover I checked the video I saw that Tara Strong didn't voice him in the Ultimate Access Commercial I watched the video a lot and I realized that the one who gave voice to Ben in this commercial was Menville so I'm not committing any act of vandalism just because he doesn't have any credit on some sites doesn't mean I'm a vandal I'm giving him more credibility LooneyGax10 (talk) 21:24, 20 July 2023 (UTC)
Numerous issues
[edit]Due primarily to additions by @TheFloridaTyper stretching to the Feb. 2024, the article has reached an incredibly bloated state. Various trivialities are included and long unbroken paragraphs muddle the article, all mostly unsourced. The sources that are cited in the article are also of low quality: 18 of the total 22 citations are to primary sources, many linked to social media posts. In its current state, the article needs trimming and citations to reliable secondary sources. ―Howard • 🌽33 20:24, 15 February 2025 (UTC)
- I've been a regular editor at this article since 2024, if not earlier. There are numerous people editing it every single day. My work was concentrated mostly in the plot section. Majority of everything else were additions by other editors. You say the article is unsourced, then claim 18/22 citations are in your words "unsourced and low quality". Much of the citations have information relating to the character's creation, films, and portrayals. Citations relating to the plot itself direct to the episode's info (number & release) as there isn't much need to redirect to an article for information about a plot. Why would a Wikipedia article about a fictional character from a TV Show have citation after citation for the plot? Unless parts of the info are significant enough to have their own sources, there isn't much need to insert a first or third party source relating to the plot of a cartoon character. Look at other articles of cartoon characters for reference. TheFloridaTyper (talk) 07:14, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
