Did you know nomination
[edit]
( )
- ... that the only fatality of the Belvidere Apollo Theatre collapse was the only audience member to buy a band t-shirt at the event?
- ALT1: ... that the only person to buy a band t-shirt from Crypta at a 2023 concert was the only one to die in the collapse of the concert venue?
- Reviewed:
- Comment: I saw the backlog and I'll consider doing a QPQ even though it isn't required. I can't at this very moment but could later on today.
Created by Departure– (talk).
Number of QPQs required: 0. Nominator has fewer than 5 past nominations.
Departure– (talk) 17:34, 5 December 2024 (UTC).
- My first attempt at a QPQ so forgive me if I don't really know what I'm doing. Preemptively requesting second opinion.
"Newness":Article was created December 2nd, nominated December 4th, so it is <7 days from creation.
Length: More than long enough
Copyvio: Earwig tool gives 18.7%, spot checks found no copyvio.
Article is stable, no edit warring/deletion tags
Sourcing for hook is adequate
Hook length: 128 for main, 134 for ALT1, both <200 so it works
Interesting: Yes(IMO)
No images requested in DYK nom.
No QPQs required, as Departure has <5 DYK noms
Other notes: I like ALT1 more, as main does not mention what band/what event. Everything looks good. Would like second opinion.
My to-do list on improving this article
[edit]- Injury statistics - Schadle stated in the 1 April press conference that 27 had been severely injured, but other sources say 28, and the NWS reports 40. The toll could be as high as 48, including those who seeked treatment at hospitals themselves rather than being removed from the scene via ambulance.
- Media - If possible, find or VRT a free image of the concert prior to the collapse. Find a CCTV or crowd member video of the collapse and add if it's free. Add a gallery at the end of NWS surveyed damage from the Damage Assessment Toolkit.
- Verifiability - Ensure all claims made in the article are verifiable to a quality source, or acceptable primary source. All facts should be relevant to the event and well ordered.
- Quality check - Submit for Good or Featured article assessments, following completion of all prior steps.
