Why does Belmont Park Branch redirect here? It should be its own article. For example Meadowlands Rail Line has few stops and has its own page, so Belmont Park Branch should, too. 24.164.159.145 (talk) 02:34, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
- Probably because it's the only station on the line east of Jamaica (LIRR station). Granted I've seen the official schedule, and I can tell you they use two branches of the City Terminal Zone, which includes every station on the Atlantic Branch west of Jamaica and only Pennsylvania Station (New York City) and Woodside (LIRR station) on the Main Line west of Jamaica. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 18:53, 27 December 2012 (UTC)

[edit]@Epicgenius: Do we have anything definitive on which stations the Belmont Park trains will serve? Cards84664 18:47, 28 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Cards84664, unfortunately the LIRR website doesn't have any timetables for the Belmont Park Branch at the moment. – Epicgenius (talk) 18:52, 28 February 2023 (UTC)
- The MTA website indicates information will be posted regarding special LIRR service between Manhattan and the Belmont Park station prior to the Belmont Stakes, which will be held on June 10th: Getting to Belmont Park on public transit – Transpoman (talk) 10:56, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
It is my understanding that the non-electrified tracks with low-level at grade platforms are used by freight trains delivering building materials and other supplies to the racetrack, and food for the horses. I don't have sources, though.Raryel (talk) 04:09, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
