Unsourced People

[edit]

I added citations for several notable alumni, and deleted the ones that I couldn't find any information for. If anyone else can find them, be my guest to return them, but they hardly seemed 'notable'. A Harvard Mathematics prof. certainly isn't notable.

Plenty of Harvard profs are notable. Just cause you don't you about them doesn't mean they're not an important figure in their field. CamAnders (talk) 15:19, 17 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Article Deletion

[edit]

I see no reason to delete this article. It's better than a stub at least, and has shown a decent amount of update since creation. Jacotto 01:01, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The link to Dan Walker and his description as a "professional alpine speed skier" don't match up.

Non-Notable

[edit]

Just a general reminder that non-notable alumni pop up here occasionally and need to be removed. Jacotto (talk) 02:41, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The original Marauder logo isn't actually the logo of the school, it's the logo of the sports teams. The logo of the school is the seal. I uploaded it. Lgrinberg (talk) 02:23, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Clubs

[edit]

I revamped the clubs section to be purposefully vague, since it's turned into a list with no real informative value. Clubs such as the 'anime club' and the 'gay-straight alliance' simply aren't notable enough for an article about a high school; most high schools have very similar organizations. It seems to me that the only people really interested in seeing every single club at the school listed on the encyclopedia page are members of said clubs. Jacotto (talk) 01:50, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's a fair point. I did, however, add a link to the official club list on the site, and a note about the fact that students typically start the clubs themselves. I feel that the change is small enough to avoid being excessive for what you correctly designated as fairly non-notable, while still being useful (the link to the site is small and non-obtrusive while relevant and informative for the small amount of people that may be genuinely interested in the club list. The note about students forming clubs is notable in that this is atypical of high schools). Lgrinberg (talk) 03:38, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I like it, thanks =) Jacotto (talk) 02:37, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rugby Club

[edit]

I've removed the Rugby club section that was recently added; if the author still feels it's reasonable, please post here before adding it again so we can discuss it. Jacotto (talk) 22:29, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Updates needed in 2021

[edit]

The references to Top 100 in the USNWR listing need to be updated. If BHS no longer is listed now, then the tense of the description needs to changed from present to past tense.

The 2021 championship win for BHS in the "High School Quiz Show" Greater Boston competition might be worth mentioning.

The construction of an entirely new BHS building complex, and the fate of the older facilities should be covered.

The whole article should be reviewed from top to bottom and updated by someone more familiar with recent BHS events. Reify-tech (talk) 22:28, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
