Mergefrom affiliates of Beal Bank

[edit]

The creator of the article on Beal Bank has created a page each for its affiliates, CSG Investments, Inc., Loan Acquisition Corporation, and Beal Mortgage Services. While Beal Bank passes WP:CORP by virtue of news coverage, its affiliates fail WP:CORP. A Lexis search shows no significant news coverage on the 3 affiliates, and I could find neither Beal Bank nor its affiliates in a Yahoo stock search. So the article on each of the 3 affiliates needs to be merged, or deleted. Pan Dan 18:00, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know what your problem is with the page on Beal Bank. Sounds pretty neutral to me -- facts are listed, not opinions. I think your objections are spurious. Is it YOU that have an agenda that you want to push and not them? Dan B.96.236.128.100 (talk) 13:24, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The information presented appears to be correct. Beal has operated a bank as it should be operated. It is well capitalized and profitable. In fact, Beal Bank has been available to the FDIC to assist them in taking over and reorganizing failed banks that had passed earlier solvency tests. —Preceding unsigned comment added by AACharley (talkcontribs) 05:05, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Merge of UmbrellaBank.com

[edit]

The article UmbrellaBank.com is not notable per Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies), so the best solution is to merge it into Beal Bank. The only secondary sources I could find on Umbrella Bank described the demise in 2009 of its former owner New South Federal Savings Bank. HairyWombat 15:41, 16 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Merge of Beal Bank Nevada

[edit]

The article Beal Bank Nevada does not appear to be notable per Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies), so I suggest it be merged into the article Beal Bank. HairyWombat 03:04, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. I did a little research to ensure that it's the same bank and it looks as if it is. Most of the news coverage out there consists of press releases, so there's no reason as to why it shouldn't be merged into one big article.Tokyogirl79 (talk) 08:14, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Added content March 2013

[edit]

Howdy. Wanted to add a note about the content I expanded March 2013. Per the tags on the pvs article (COI and Advert) I researched FDIC and banking industry standards and added:

  • FDIC info on when banks founded
  • Industry standard reports and comparisons of banking financial health
  • Fuller list of subsidiary companies, with links to public websites
  • Expanded cites from 4 pvs to 19 or so

Regarding the tags, is there a review/approval process for removing the COI and Advert tags, or is it OK for me to delete them?

Tags from 2008 removed

[edit]

Howdy. Just a note for editors: I added new content over a week or so for this article March 2013, expanding it with publicly reported info about financial health, assets, clarifying the relationships among the subsidiaries, etc. I also removed the two concern tags from 2008, Advert and COI; neither is relevant with article in its current (improved) state.
