Herodotus and the Battle of the Persian Border
[edit]The text says: " Most historians consider Herodotus to have mentioned only the first and last battles in the war.[1]"
- ^ Duncker, Max, The History of Antiquity, tr. Evelyn Abbott, p. 363. London, Richard Bentley * Son (1881) p. 364
However, the citation does not support this statement. If fact, it does not say that even Duncker supports that statement. Please provide a supportive source, as to what "Most historians consider" , or remove the statement.Fconaway (talk) 22:46, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Numbers
[edit]100,000 cavalry in 500 BC ???? How they use to feed them ? 1500 years later in 14th century A.D even mongols didnt had so much horses ! "I suggest using modern academic sources that give estimates of number of troops scientifically according to logistical capabilities of respective sides. الله أكبرMohammad Adil 12:46, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
