Questions

[edit]

I've cleaned up the article a little since the latest additions, and I see a few things that need work:

  • What is the relationship between Bahá'í News and American Baha'i? If the latter is a successor publication, how was it first conceived, and why did it begin publishing so long (20 years!) before the former stopped? The related reference is at a registration-only link, and I'm outside of the USA so I don't think I can see it.
  • Is there a better overview somewhere of the content of Bahá'í News, besides just that most of it was about international news, pioneering and domestic developments? It'd be nice to see information about specific sections, i.e.: fund goals/progress, letters from the NSA, the Universal House of Justice, or Shoghi Effendi, etc. It'd also be interesting to note whether any major communications were first published in Bahá'í News, in the same way that many of 'Abdu'l-Bahá's tablets were first published in Star of the West.

On a related note, Bahá'í World News Service needs creating too. --dragfyre_ʞןɐʇc 18:40, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

a ref to include

"How to make Bahá'í News the "Foremost Bahá'í Journal of the World"". Bahá'í News (420): p. 7–8. 1966. {{cite journal}}: |page= has extra text (help); Unknown parameter |month= ignored (help) Smkolins (talk) 01:39, 25 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

newspaper or magazine?

[edit]

Per [1] we have the question of is Baha'i News a magazine, newspaper or what? The original citation is lost/dead that it is a magazine. If you go to [2] it's "Journal, magazine : Periodical", if you go to [3] it isn't specifically delineated except in contrast to others specifically named a magazine. I suppose it is odd in that it is a monthly periodical so "newspaper" normally implies daily or weekly. Thoughts? --Smkolins (talk) 20:47, 1 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
