[edit]of course wiki doesnt mention they are IN the state of Indiana where the nationals are held as if bands can afford to come from all over!

Avon High School 2014 viral lip dub video
[edit]Why is there no information about this on the school's Wiki page? I started to create a section about it and some other Wiki editor (John something) swooped in 5 minutes later and reverted my changes. I don't want to waste my time researching if it's just going to be reverted, so what gives? The video achieved international press, earning thousands of dollars. I'd say that was noteworthy enough to add to the school's page. WikiWyz (talk) 18:32, 3 March 2018 (UTC)
- Your addition contained violations of external link policy and was sourced to sources we never allow. (YouTube and the Daily Mail). Generally, a single event would have to be much more important than this to be included. If you want to provide some sources that meet WP:RS, its importance can certainly be discussed here and a consensus formed on what if any to include about this. Thanks. Undue, poor refs, dead refs, refs that do not verify facts
[edit]I've substantially cleaned this article up today. No longer will it be a webpage for the marching band. Virtually all the citations for the marching band are dead. If they are not replaced with reliable working sources soon, I'll be removing all the claims of achievement for the band. Not saying they are not true. This is an encyclopedia. EVERY SINGLE THING needs to be able to be sourced. If the source is dead and there is no other reliable published source, independent of the school, the information cannot be there. A similar situation exists for the notable people. John from Idegon (talk) 18:43, 7 May 2018 (UTC)
