Corrections
[edit]- I deleted reference to Autolux being indie rock. They aren't. Indie refers to "independent". Autolux is not on an independent label. They are on Epic/Sony.
- Whoever added the Track "Listening" seems to have just made up things. I corrected song titles and times.
- Inserted ages are wrong. corrected to as close as possible based on new york times article that states ages from a year and a half ago.
- Changed formation date back to 1999, based a number of online interviews that give that year as formation date.
- I would hesitate to call Autolux shoegaze. The band frowns on such a classification as well.
Constant reverts by 76.173.108.150
[edit]Someone at the IP address of 76.173.108.150 keeps reverting my edits on this page, specifically deleting any {{Fact}} tags as well as deleting a mention of Garbage. The latter is mentioned in a cited sentence stating bands with which Autolux has been compared to, including Garbage. Since it follows quite logically to mention bands Autolux has been compared to directly from the source material that the statement is being cited from in the first place, I fail to see the point of consistently reverting such edits. So, in the hope of avoiding a very trivial editing war, please discuss the matter further here. I will add the mention of Garbage back if there's no further discussion, as well as revert the {{Fact}} tags immediately, in hopes of pointing out where the article can be improved. Reassessment
[edit]I do not know much about the band, but I rate articles for the WPMusicians project. I gave the Start-class and Low-priority ratings on May 7 2007. I see that there are some added references in the article, but that not much content has changed since my previous rating, which is why I was surprised to see it in the unrated category again. Normally, an editor whom would want reassessment would ask for a Peer review from the WPBiography project. This article states a bit about what the band has actually done, but does not talk about the band in other ways. It would be good to include more information about the members and how they relate to one another. As a reader, I would be interested to know more about their music. Are there descriptions of it other than rock or eclectic? What is the atmosphere of their concerts? When Goresther and Azar met scoring the play, what version of it was it, or where was that version performed? Is most of their fanbase from Los Angeles? Do the members of the band hold any public political views? I guess some of this information might be considered POV, but it would give readers a better understanding of the band besides the facts of when, where, and with whom they performed and recorded. - cgilbert(talk|contribs) 01:03, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- Fair enough. I'll see what I can do. Drewcifer3000 04:52, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
