Notability

[edit]

Adding some sources, context, links & categories to page. WP:PRESERVE.E.M.Gregory (talk) 21:36, 23 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Still not a major official and very much a case of WP:ONEEVENT. Notability doubtful. Perhaps an article on the Taliban campaign targeting the judicial system in 2014-2015 could be made, with this redirecting there. Although, this source just mentions earlier attacks on officials related to the judicial system (actually mentioning one from 2013 and -in passing- this attack), without actually saying that this was part of some systematic campaign, something that our article now implies. (WP:OR)? The article also mentions that an American soldier was killed, is that perhaps also related? Even sources directly reporting the assassination of Raufi hardly mention more than his name and occupation. One of them is just one paragraph long, the others are barely longer. None of the sources even mention his age, whether he was married, or whether he had children (one source mentions his "family and friends"). So all we know is his name, occupation, the time and day of his death, and the fact that he had family and friend. WP:PRESERVE indeed. I am going to restore the notability tag until some real coverage crops up. --Randykitty (talk) 22:57, 23 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
