Fair use rationale for Image:Av1 logo.png

[edit]

Image:Av1 logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Rationale for reverted information

[edit]

Hello John from Idegon, noticed you reverted my recent edits. I provided sources and citations for all the information I added, including on citation needed tags. I noticed you used twinkle which as a novice Wikipedia editor I'm not too familiar with, is this an automated process? Would you be willing to assist me, so we can work together to improve this article? I would use this as rationale myself: Editing Policy: Try to fix problems Thanks, Hportfacts5 (talk) 19:20, 16 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Listing of technical programs

[edit]

(Moved from User talk:ElKevbo)

Hi, I'm puzzled on why you have removed my edit to the Assabet Valley Tech School page. I may understand the removal of the descriptions as they may need to be verified further, and I will no longer request to re-add those, but your reasoning for removing the list of technical programs leads me to believe that you may be unaware of what a Vocational School is. At Assabet, we have vocational programs, and every student is required to choose one to enroll in and partake in every other week. The list was simply a list of all the current vocational programs. As for unnecessary, these programs are often the primary appeal of Assabet, as they take up about half a student's time in the school. As for bias, I am listing all of the programs, I do not understand what you mean by that. Ethan Reed 2025 (talk) 14:20, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Ethan Reed 2025: I moved this from my User Talk page to the article's Talk page so that other editors interested in this article can more easily read and participate in this discussion.
In general, it's not very helpful for readers if we include lists in articles without any discussion or context. Additionally, we try to focus on information that is not overly detailed and is appropriate for an encyclopedia article; WP:DUE and WP:NOT are the project-wide guiding principles. More specifically, our advice for articles about schools recommends that authors "[p]rovide a brief description of the school's curriculum.... Do not insert long lists of subjects taught..."
