Iranian red sheepArmenian mouflonWP:COMMONNAME Երևանցի talk 21:12, 25 December 2014 (UTC) Virtually all credible sources refer to it as "Armenian mouflon", including the IUCN Red List website ("In Iran, the Armenian mouflon is found in..."[1]) Even its Persian name is "Qutch-e armani" (Armenian sheep).[2][reply]

Google Books search yields 168 results for "Armenian mouflon"[3] and only 28 for "Iranian red sheep"[4]. 21:12, 25 December 2014‎ User:Yerevantsi

Animals do not have nationality or citizenship and are not owned by any ethnic group or country. The point here is that its common name is "Armenian mouflon". Its name doesn't make it any more of an Armenian animal or less of an Iranian one. Someone had previously moved it to "Iranian red sheep" without any discussion and this is intended to correct that. --Երևանցի talk 00:29, 29 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
