Overall I think it's a pretty solid article on Parrott Academy. You provide the basic historical facts behind the school's founding and the main statistics associated with the school like courses offered, athletic teams, enrollment numbers, etc. At least these are facts that are neutral and unbiased -- making them the most basic and a very good place to begin. However there are a couple of areas in which the article could be improved. First, it cites only one source, the school's website. You could probably get more information or at least different information from other sources that would make the article more well-rounded and unbiased. Also, I think any more information you could give for the history would be helpful. Why did Parrott and friends deem it necessary to form the school? Who donated the land and why? What was the original purpose/goal for the school? Also other sections on some of the school's alums, pictures of the school/its facilities, notable faculty/administrators, successful sports teams, the school in the news, etc would give the reader a little better idea of what the school is known for and what it is like. Besides that, the only question I have is why is this relevant/important for the average Wikipedia reader? Maybe if there was a little more information this would become clearer. Anyways, the article's pretty solid with some basic facts and stats, but could be improved with a few more sources, images, and more general information. Peer Review (I think this is where I am supposed to post it?)

Your article for Arendell Parrott Academy is a good start for the school but I think you need to expand on some of your ideas. You could add some more in depth information about the history of the school and the significance of its beginning. Do you know why it was important for the family to donate a school in memory of their son instead of some other type of building or organization or its significance for the community? Also some pictures might add to the representation and give the viewer a more intimate connection to the school. What is the purpose of listing the classes offered? Perhaps you could do a little more research to figure out some other information that makes the school significant or special. I found that the school has a published book of recipes available at Barnes & Noble. Do you know any information about that? You could also look at other similar Wikipedia articles such as the one for Episcopal High School (Alexandria) to see what types of topics other schools provide about themselves. Also, I think a few more resources are needed to make sure that the research you have done for your article is complete. - Margaret Anne McArverMamcarver (talk) 17:13, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As mentioned in the previous review, I believe that this is a great starting point for your article. However, I feel that it is lacking quite a bit of key information. For example, the "Middle School" section features just one sentence. Just by going to the school's website, (which was noted as a reference, but is also a great external source) there is plenty more information about the school that was not listed in the article. There does not appear to be any discernible amount of bias in the article, but the article could go further in depth than just listing facts, in some cases. Also, there are a few proofreading errors, and in the section featuring sports teams' records, the date of those seasons would be useful. If there is any information on state championships in sports teams or the conferences they are associated with (information that could be useful over multiple years), this would also prove helpful. This is a great start for your article. I believe you have covered most of the main topics that would be useful to know about the school, but I agree that most of them need a little expansion. One of the first questions that came to my mind is where is the school located? I think this is very important information to include. Rather than putting this in the history section I would suggest adding an introduction sections before your first subheading because I believe most Wikipedia articles begin with a short introduction.

I think the resource you are currently using (the school’s website) will be your most useful resource. I would suggest looking at the “About” page for additional ideas for sections you could add to your article. Maybe sections about Faculty, Grading, and Student Life would be interesting to add.

Because this is a private school, I think it would be helpful and important to add a section about admissions and tuition information. People who are interested in finding information about this school for their children would probably want to know about these topics.

As suggested in the review above, I think you could find additional information about the middle and lower schools on the school’s website. It looks like they provide extensive overviews of each of the three schools. Also, I think your history section is another very interesting and important part of your article. The school website provides an extensive history of the school so I think it would be helpful to add some of this information in your article.

To improve this articles reliability you definitely need to add additional references and in-line citations. I did some research myself and found that there are very few resources on this topic besides the schools website, but I think you could definitely expand each of your sections using information on their website.

Also, it would be helpful to add some links to other Wikipedia articles throughout your article to provide the reader with additional related resources. For example, when you add the location (Kinston, NC) you could link it to the Wikipedia article about this location (http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Kinston,_North_Carolina).

Overall I think this is a very interesting article and with a little development it could provide very useful information to readers.
